Time for the writers, I think (for want of a better classification):

Acerbia: D writes short snippets that are sometimes serious, but often extended build-ups to a snappy punchline. I like that.

Making Light: Teresa Nielsen Hayden is an editor for Tor. A mix of industry comment and thoughtful reflection.

Metamorphosism: Mig’s is a classic blog in the modern sense (heh), an eclectic mix of observations on daily life, sketches and fiction. With good helpings of politics, music, literature and philosophy thrown in. For what it’s worth, metamorphosism was one of the first blogs I found myself returning to regularly.

Neil Gaiman: If you don’t know the name, you should. Hugely popular journal of the author who gave the world Sandman, and then a bunch of other stuff as well - Good Omens (with Terry Pratchett), Neverwhere, Coraline, American Gods…
